Churches, Neighborhoods, Businesses and Realtors

A donation collection drive is a great way for your church, business, school, family or organization to participate in supporting kids in our community. The goal for the donation collection is to obtain lots of Good Stuff, gently used items. go to web site for list of what to accept.

Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Contact Good Stuff Thrift at 215-428-2800 and select option 1 to coordinate your donation drive event date. Donations can be taken to one of our stores or schedule the Good Stuff Thrift truck to pick up donations.
  2. Designate an area where you can accept and store donations.
  3. Advertise approximately 4 weeks before donation collection. Send out a reminder 1 week before donation collection. Suggestions for methods of advertising: e-mail, text, announcements, social media, flyers or web sites. For neighborhood drives it is best to place a letter in mailboxes.   4. Provide donation receipts to donors. Go to website for donation receipts.
  5. Good Stuff Thrift will pick up donations at scheduled time.
  6. For furniture donations schedule truck to pick up at donor’s house.
Realtors or Homeowners Donation Drive Instructions

Good Stuff Thrift can help:

  1. DECLUTTER & DOWNSIZE – Donate a few items or a LOT of items
  2. EMPTY THE HOUSE- Donate all personal items before settlement
  3. NEIGHBORHOOD DONATION COLLECTION – Meet people in the neighborhood where your listing is up for sale and get them to come to the home to give donations.

Good Stuff Thrift Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Organization. Donated items are tax deductible. Receipts are available.
 
1. Decluttering and Downsizing Services
 

When you have a listing and need to have just some of the contents of a home permanently removed, we can do that

  • We will come and get all unneeded furniture, pictures, clothing, home decor, toys, gardening equipment etc.
  • Your client tags it and we will take it away
  • The home owner is donating their items and will not have them returned
  • All house household items & clothing must be in boxes or bags. Visit What to Donate page to see what to donate.
2. Empty House Service

When you have a listing and need to have the entire contents of your home removed, we can do that.

  • We will come with our truck and take everything we can sell in our stores
  • Your client gets a tax deduction for the donations
  • We have contractors who will remove everything that we do not take for a fee

3. Neighborhood Donation Collection

Donation collection drives help you farm your neighborhoods. Host a donation collection day at one of your listings and meet people in the neighborhood.
