What a Great Year at Good Stuff Thrift

Good Stuff Gives $1,000,000 to its Charities

What a great year it has been at Good Stuff Thrift! We have been so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing employees, board members, volunteers, donors, customers, supporters, and of course such an amazing community. It is because of you that we have been able to donate a record-breaking $1,000,000 to our charities this year! Good Stuff Thrift has donated a grand total of $5,000,000 to its charities.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to be able to have accomplished this goal. We continue to strive to give more every year and are so thankful to each and every one of you who supports Good Stuff Thrift and its mission.

Elf on the Shelf

The elves were up to no good this year! They all escaped and found a place to hide at each of our four stores. They hid in extra tricky hiding places this year, so our customers really had to keep an eye out for them. They hid in different places every day just to keep us all on our toes!

Thank you to everyone who helped find these silly elves! We know it wasn’t easy, but every time one was found, that lucky customer got $5 off their purchase that day! If it weren’t for you, the elves might not have made it back to the North Pole in time for Christmas to help Santa! Phew…that was a close one!

Take a look at some of the places we found these little troublemakers!

Charity Spotlight

Carson Simpson Farms

One of Good Stuff Thrift’s most recent partnerships is with Carson Simpson Farm. At Carson Simpson Farm, the goal is to utilize their 60+ acres to create spaces for kids to connect with each other, with God, and with nature.

“[The] property includes woods, a creek, pavilions, a pool, sports fields, playgrounds, and indoor spaces. Each day is packed with scheduled activities designed to encourage building friendships and lasting memories. Campers get a chance to experience a wide variety of special interests, ranging from art and music to athletic games and hikes in the woods. With something for everyone, each camper has a chance to shine or learn new skills.

Mission – To glorify God and show the love of Christ to children.

Vision: That the children are convinced of God’s love for them and each staff member puts Christ first in their lives and reflects Christ’s love in all they do.

Values: Faith, community, and safety.

At Carson Simpson Farm, campers learn about God in a welcoming and safe environment.

[They] present Bible stories in a relatable and age-appropriate way, and counselors lead follow-up discussions with their groups. Campers are coached to listen respectfully while hearing new ideas and to consider how God’s love can impact their lives. The staff prays over their campers and seek to demonstrate Christ’s love through camp experiences.”

Winter Wonderland & Donation Drive

Carson Simpson Farm held a Winter Wonderland event on December 9th this year!  This community event featured crafts, camp games, a bonfire, an ugly Christmas sweater contest, carols, a life- size nativity for photos, and a Tree lighting!

In addition to this amazing event, they also asked the community to bring warm clothing donations to give to Good Stuff Thrift!

Here are some pictures from their Winter Wonderland event and donation drive!

Vintage Lifestyle Expert - Bob Richter

Bob Richter, author of Vintage Living and A Very Vintage Christmas, is an Interior Designer and Antiques Aficionado. His talent for repurposing items for gifts and decorations is like no other.

“I believe I’m curating beautiful and interesting things and caring for them so they can continue to bring joy to future generations.”

Good Stuff Thrift has been one of the many places where Bob shops and finds pieces for his vintage collections. We were actually featured in his book, Vintage Living

Bob frequently features many collectibles he finds from each of our Good Stuff Thrift stores! His love for antiques and collectibles is inspiring. He has an eye for finding treasure everywhere he goes and we are so grateful to be one of his many stops!

Bob shared one of his latest Good Stuff Thrift finds on Instagram and Facebook earlier this month. Check out the giant, green, ceramic tree that he found at Good Stuff Thrift! It’s the tree in the middle…doesn’t it look great!?

Suicide Prevention Conference

Lenape Valley Foundation hosted their 14th Annual Suicide Prevention Conference.      It was co-hosted by the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force.

“We are so grateful to the many organizations that supported this event, and our sponsor, the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force. Over 225 people attended this sold out educational conference in which we heard several impactful survivor stories and learned so much about the best practices in suicide prevention.”

Here are some pictures from the event we wanted to share with you.
